So let's start with day one and the film the critics regularly vote the greatest of all time, Citizen Kane. Those clever people at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith are showing Orson Welles' classic in a double bill with The Social Network. Both, as Tom Huddleston points out in this week's Time Out, "stunning depictions of American greed, empty success and loneliness at the top."
I was intrigued by what Dave Kehr of the New York times had to say about the parallels here and also the Independent on Sunday writer Jonathan Romney's take on the "Rosebud" moment in David Fincher's film.
If you want to catch this great pairing it's at the Riverside on Saturday at 1.10pm.
